Economics graduate from Universitas Indonesia. Interested in causal inference and applied econometrics, with research experience in macroeconomics, historical economics, and political economy.
I wanted to do science. And I ended up in economics, which is close enough. I still get to form hypotheses, collect data, and find out whether the idea survives. The questions asked in economics happen to be about people and history, which I would have been interested in anyway.
I use R and Stata for most of the work here, Python when necessary. I try to make the code available alongside the output. Most of what I publish is not finished, and that is fine.
I am still early and do not always know what I am doing. I am fairly honest about that, which I think is a better starting point than pretending otherwise.
This site is my attempt at having one place for everything: outputs, notes, things I made, things I do, things I thought about. I want to have a centralized and user-friendly platform for people interested in those things, rather than sending them to a GitHub repos. I built this site with Quarto, though Claude did most of the heavy lifting, which you can probably tell if you look at the source code (or the design, for that matter). Fortunately, it works. Although, I might redo it eventually in something simpler, Hugo (maybe) or just plain HTML, but for now this is what exists.

Econometrics is the closest thing available to someone like me that lets you actually do that. The fields listed above are just what people kept asking me to name, so I named the ones I spent the most time in. But, they are secondary to the method.

Quantitative analysis on SUSENAS 2024 microdata examining child development indicators across multiple provinces. Part of a joint SMERU-Bappenas-UNICEF study.
Bootstrap ARDL with Fourier terms in EViews and Python for long-run cointegration analysis. Co-authored a research monograph on Indonesia's growth, democracy, and environmental trajectory to 2045.
Macro policy analysis on fuel subsidy reform and export proceeds retention using Input-Output Tables and SUSENAS data.
